Intro

Most AI tools in education spoon feed students the answers, Virgil we do the opposite.

We are building an edtech application that guides students towards anything they need. We never give solutions directly, but ask the right questions at the right time. Virgil watches students work in all browser windows, detects if they are stuck and provides Socratic prompts that lead to breakthroughs. All imbedded within the browser, Virgil seamlessly integrates within the workflow of the student. Virgil adapts to each student's level, providing specific subject features and becomes the user's online professor.

About

The idea for Virgil came from a university lecture when a professor declared AI "destroys education". This is wrong, universities and people cannot seem to bridge the gap between the positives of AI and self learning. AI doesn't undermine learning - it can reinforce it. But only if built right. That moment sparked for Virgil, an AI tutor that strengthens students instead of replacing their thinking. Built into user's devices and university systems.

Virgil works, and this is after constructing a backend for a fintech application handling student transactions and co-founding a video game company, raising $180,000 for it's first release. We've raised capital, understood the processes in creating a start-up first hand, now we're bringing that experience to education - building AI that doesn't work, but teaches.
